Terms and conditions for travelling with Zanzibility Limited

PAYMENT:

Payment for all trips are invoiced in USD as this is the currency we pay most of our expenses with.

REGISTRATION:

To register, you must be female and a member of the Facebook group Kaftankraft Zanzibility and send an email to zanzibilitystonetown@gmail.com and state which trip you wish to register for and provide your full name as it appears on your passport.

In return you will receive a booking confirmation, invoice, and payment link for the deposit of 400 USD with a 14-day payment deadline.

The deposit paid is considered partial payment of the total cost of the trip and is a binding registration. Failure to pay the deposit does not mean that the agreement is void. When the deposit is paid, you will also receive an invitation to the travel group for the relevant trip on Facebook.

It is in this group that all further practical information about the trip will be shared, and it is here that you get to know your other travel friends and find a roommate if you need it, so it is important that you are a member there.

The right to withdrawal of purchase that otherwise exists in distance selling does not apply to the purchase of travel services. The agreement between the parties is considered to have been entered into upon a confirmed booking and implies acceptance of the travel conditions of the trip.

The invoice for the remaining amount will be sent to you by email 14 days before the due date and is due 70 days before departure. This is due to our obligations to subcontractors.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations must be made in writing by email. Failure to pay the deposit does not count as a cancellation. In the event of cancellation or no-show, the following fees apply:

• Up to 100 days before departure: USD 70 per person.

• From 100 to 70 days before departure: The deposit amount of USD 450.

• From 70 to 40 days before departure: 50% of the trip price.

• From 40 days and up to the departure date and in case of non-appearance on the day of departure: No refund. This is due to our obligations to subcontractors.

Cancellation/cancellation in extraordinary circumstances

We follow the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ travel advice. As a general rule, the traveler has the right to cancel their trip if acts of war, natural disasters, dangerous infectious diseases or other events that can be equated are observed at the destination or in the immediate vicinity of this in the last 14 days or less before the trip begins, and there is reasonable reason to assume that these conditions will also be on the day of departure. In the event of cancellation for the aforementioned reasons, the credit amount will be refunded. However, the trip cannot be canceled for the aforementioned reasons if the event that is the basis for the cancellation was or should have been known at the time of booking.

The trip may be canceled by Zanzibility Limited if:

1. There is not a sufficient number of participants registered for the trip. Zanzibility Limited will notify the traveler of any cancellation of the trip no later than 30 days before departure.

2. Unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances occur beyond Zanzibility Limited`s control. Examples may include: Danger of war, natural disasters, dangerous infectious diseases, labor disputes or similar.

3. Conditions at the destination/along the itinerary that make it risky or unreasonable to carry out the trip, and that Zanzibility Limited could not reasonably have foreseen. Here, emphasis is placed on assessments from, among others, the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ travel advice and statements from local authorities.

FLIGHTS:

We always fly with Ethiopian Airlines from Gardermoen via Addis Ababa in the evening of the departure day and are back at Gardermoen early in the morning of the arrival day. To Morocco we fly with Norwegian Airlines. The flight ticket is included in the total price of the trip.

HOTEL ROOMS:

It is not possible to have a single room. You will be accommodated two by two in spacious double rooms throughout the trip.

If you are traveling alone, you will find a roommate in the travel group after registration, and we have extensive experience with room allocation which usually works out very well.

NUMBER OF PERSONS:

Zanzibility Limited reserves the right to cancel the trip if there are too few registered participants. Zanzibility Limited shall notify the traveler of any cancellation of the trip no later than 30 days before departure and refund the deposit and remaining amount in full.

TRAVEL INSURANCE:

Everyone who registers for a trip is required to have their own travel insurance.
